SUV Insurance

Almost everywhere, it’s required to have SUV insurance in order to drive your sport utility vehicle legally. This means that if you hurt someone or damage something, the insurance company will help pay hospital bills and to fix damaged vehicles and property.  Since sport utility vehicles tend in general to be more expensive than cars, the corresponding insurance has the potential to cost a bit more as well. However, in determining what you pay for insurance, your driving record has the most substantial influence on the cost.  Someone who has never had an accident or ticket will pay minimal premiums since they represent minimal risk to the insurance company.  Someone who has had a few accidents, a lot of speeding tickets, or even something like a DUI conviction will pay a huge amount for insurance since they are statistically much more likely to cause an accident and be an expensive liability for the insurance company.

Where you live and park and the amount of crime in that area can also have an impact on the cost of insurance.  Finally, your SUV insurance will have demographic implications as well: A teenage driver will always pay more than someone in their thirties, and men almost always need to pay more than women.  Shop around with as many companies as possible in order to try to find the lowest rates that you can.  You can also gamble a bit by choosing coverage with a high deductible which will mean lower premiums but will cost you more out of pocket in the event of an accident.

The dogs are trained to dig or sit when they smell drugs, which triggers automobile searches. But a Tribune analysis of three years of data for suburban departments found that only 44 percent of those alerts by the dogs led to the discovery of drugs or paraphernalia. For Hispanic drivers, the success rate was just 27 percent. Dog-handling officers and trainers argue the canine teams’ accuracy shouldn’t be measured in the number of alerts that turn up drugs. They said the scent of drugs or paraphernalia can linger in a car after drugs are used or sold, and the dogs’ noses are so sensitive they can pick up residue from drugs that can no longer be found in a car. But even advocates for the use of drug-sniffing dogs agree with experts who say many dog-and-officer teams are poorly trained and prone to false alerts that lead

Riding a Fishbowl to Parkchester – 1998 NY Bus Service

The only better way to ride a fishbowl than sticking your elbow out the rear window was to ride in the front seat of an 8 cylinder express coach through scenic cityscape. Enjoy this ride as if you were an actual passenger on this last relic of the most recognizable 20th century North American diesel powered transit bus. The new look remained in production into the early 1980s in Canada. Some of these were imported by NYC private bus carriers. New York Bus Service was able to keep these running long after all the others let them go, and I believe, without extensive body rebuilding. Wear and tear was at a minimum since many coaches were only required for two rush hour trips per day. The Madison Avenue bus lane is the only dual bus lane in NYC and was introduced just before the 1982 delivery of this coach. As you can can see, it was well enforced in 1998 and provides substantial time savings. The NYC express bus system grew very rapidly in the late 1960s and early 1970s coinciding with both a decline in the quality of local bus and rail service plus and increased expectation of comfort such as air conditioning. Later in the video I move to the back of the bus where you can really hear the the engine as well as the synchronized hum of the rear mounted A/C unit. I believe the model number is T8H-5308A based on my reading of on-line equipment rosters. It is definitely a 96″ width with 8 cyinders and no center door and delivered in 1982. The route begins at Madison Square Park
